Monmouth County Clerk’s Passport Offices

The Monmouth County Clerk has three convenient passport offices to serve you. No appointments are necessary for passport services.

Freehold Passport Office is open:
Monday through Friday
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Monmouth County Connection in Neptune is open:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for passport services)
Tuesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (7:30 p.m. for passport services)
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (12 p.m. for passport services)

Monday through Friday, the last passport application is accepted a half hour prior to closing.  Saturday, the last passport application is accepted at noon.

First Thursday of each month: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Regional U.S. Department of State Passport Offices

If you are traveling within two weeks or need to obtain a foreign visa within four weeks, you are entitled to apply in person at a Department of State Passport Agency.

At a Department of State Passport Agency:

• You may apply for any service (first-time application, renewal, passport card, etc.) at a passport agency.
• You must pay the Expedite Fee when applying at a passport agency.
• Appointments and proof of immediate international travel are required. See detailed instructions for the agency where you wish to apply on their agency webpage.

Walk-ins are not permitted. To schedule an appointment, call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778. You can make an appointment using a touch tone phone, 24 hours a day, just follow the automated prompts. If you need same day service, you must call before 10:00am on that day.
