  • Governor Signs Legislation A4157: Temporarily Extending Deadlines for Property Tax Appeals and Decisions (signed 5/28/20)
  • Governor’s Executive Order No. 130: Municipalities Allowed to Extend Grace Period for May 1st Property Tax Payments until June 1st (4/28/20)
  • COVID-19 Fiscal Mitigation Act” (P.L. 2020, c.19) Governor Murphy signed the COVID-19 Fiscal Mitigation Act into law that automatically extends the due date to July 15, 2020, for certain taxpayers to file and make payments originally due on April 15, 2020. Individual Gross Income Tax, Partnership, and Corporation Business Tax calendar year filers now have until July 15th to file and pay these taxes, including 1st quarter estimated tax payments. Penalties and interest will not be imposed on the balance of tax due between the original due date and the extended due date, as long as the returns and/or payments are submitted by July 15, 2020.

County Sheriff
  • Notice: Public access to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Center located at 2500 Kozloski Rd., Freehold is suspended until further notice.
  • As a result, all Sheriff Sales, tours, classes and events at the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Center have been cancelled until further notice. Per the State of NJ’s issued Executive Order 106 it states that evictions and foreclosure proceedings have been suspended. Click here for more information.

Monmouth County Municipal Governments

Important Information:

The Monmouth County Health Department has set up a hotline to answer general COVID-19 questions during weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Crisis counselors are also available to assist residents who may be experiencing stress or anxiety due to the evolving situation. Dial 732-845-2070.

The New Jersey Poison Control Center and 211 have partnered with the State to provide a hotline for information about COVID-19. Dial 2-1-1 or call the 24/7 hotline at 1-800-962-1253.
