Introduction

In 2008, the Monmouth County Archives successfully applied to the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington, DC, for the IMLS Connecting to Collections Bookshelf, thereby obtaining a set of reference books free of charge as part of the Connecting to Collections: A Call to Action initiative. The books and other items listed below, which are particularly helpful for the care and management of museum objects, libraries, and archival collections, are available for use on a non-circulating basis at the Monmouth County Archives.
