The Monmouth County Department of Public Information and Tourism serves to keep the public informed about Monmouth County news, programs, and services. In addition to press releases, photography, newsletters, and video production, the department also promotes Monmouth County tourism by creating and distributing informative tourism guides and maps.
The collection comprises tourism guides and maps of Monmouth County and New Jersey.

The Tourism Guides are arranged into three subseries: New Jersey, Monmouth County, and Maps. Each subseries is arranged alphabetically by folder title. The Maps subseries is stored separately from the guides and is available as part of the Archives’ reference maps collection.
