The Archives Division of the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office is currently under renovation and is closed to in-person visitors. Research assistance is available by phone and through email.

We are excited to announce that this year’s Archives and History Day will be held in person at Brookdale Community College’s Collins Arena on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 from 9am to 1pm. All are welcome to attend this free event. Please click here for a preliminary event program.

Monmouth County Archives operates under the direction of Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon, Esq. The Archives preserves, organizes and provides access to Monmouth County government records of enduring historic value that are retained on a permanent basis. These records include documents pertaining to deeds, court cases, naturalizations, and many other subjects. Our records are used for legal, genealogical, historical, and other research purposes. We also work to educate the public about Monmouth County history through public programs and exhibits.

The Monmouth County Archives Division is open to the public by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are located at 125 Symmes Drive (Lower Level), Manalapan, NJ 07726.
